MTN Ghana has announced that Mobile Money users will be charged a 0.75% fee on transfers from MoMo wallets to bank accounts from 1 June 2026.

In a message to customers on Monday, the telecom company said the charge would apply to each transaction but would be capped at GH¢5, regardless of the amount transferred.

MTN Ghana said the move was intended to support improvements in service delivery.
“This will help us continue to serve you better,” the company said in the notice.
The new fee is expected to affect customers who frequently transfer funds from their Mobile Money wallets into bank accounts.

Mobile Money is one of Ghana’s most widely used digital payment platforms, with millions of people relying on the service for everyday transactions, savings and business payments.
