Presidential candidate for the New Force Party, Nana Kwame Bediako, has expressed concern over the widespread poverty and hopelessness he witnessed during his nationwide tour of all 276 constituencies.
In a State of the Nation address titled “The Real State of the Nation,” Bediako highlighted the lack of investment in the country’s people and communities by the government. He described the conditions in many areas as marked by poverty, struggle, and pollution.
“I have discovered more poverty, pain, struggle, and no hope during this trip. Our leaders have not invested in the people or the constituencies,” Bediako said on Saturday, November 30.
The candidate also criticised Members of Parliament for enacting laws that fail to make a meaningful impact on the lives of their constituents, accusing them of being disconnected from the people they are supposed to represent.
Bediako urged voters to put the country’s future ahead of party loyalty in the upcoming elections, calling for informed decisions that would lead to real progress.
