Nollywood actress and model Nancy Isime has discussed the complexities surrounding actors and actresses accepting roles that involve nudity, describing it as a personal decision.

In a recent interview on TV3’s Afternoon Show on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Isime explained that actors should not feel compelled to abandon their personal values or moral beliefs when choosing roles, even within the entertainment industry. She emphasized that actors should consider their values and comfort levels when deciding whether to take on such roles.

“There are actors who have achieved great success without ever appearing nude, just as others have succeeded while doing so,” Isime noted. “The beauty of being a creative is the ability to bring your unique experience and values into your work. Your moral background, your likes, and your boundaries—these are all part of who you are, and they should influence the roles you take.”

Isime further encouraged fellow actors to confidently accept or reject roles involving nudity based on their personal comfort. “If you feel comfortable and confident, and it serves the story, then go ahead,” she said. “But if you feel shy, uncomfortable with your body, or simply don’t want to expose yourself, that’s perfectly valid too.”

She also stressed the importance of actors being true to themselves, suggesting that those who are unwilling to take on such roles should not feel pressured and should allow others to step in if necessary. “If you can’t handle it, don’t do it,” she advised.

When asked whether she would accept a role involving nudity in a production like Game of Thrones, Isime stated that she could consider it “with the right atmosphere, the right direction, and for the right cause.” She added, “If it is truly essential to telling the story, and moving the plot forward, then I wouldn’t mind.”

Nancy Isime has received critical acclaim for her performances in high-profile films such as Everybody Loves Jenifa (2024), Queen Lateefah (2024), Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2021), and globally popular series like Shanty Town (2023) and Blood Sisters (2022).
