The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ghana’s Ashanti Region has pledged to ensure the integrity of every ballot in the upcoming elections on December 7, 2024, vowing to resist any attempt at election rigging.

With just two days until the presidential and parliamentary elections, the party’s Regional Communications Officer, Abass Nurudeen, assured the public that the NDC would work alongside security agencies to ensure a peaceful and secure election process.

“We will collaborate with the state security agencies to ensure the safety of every Ghanaian before, during, and after the elections. Every voter will be safe, and every vote will be counted,” Abass said at a press conference in Kumasi on December 5. He added that the NDC would guarantee that the true will of the people would prevail.

The party also issued a stern warning against any efforts to manipulate the election results. “Any attempt to rig the elections will be met with fierce resistance,” Abass warned, urging those planning such actions to reconsider.

The NDC called on its supporters to turn out in large numbers to vote for John Dramani Mahama and all NDC parliamentary candidates. The party also urged the public to actively monitor polling stations to protect the sanctity of the ballot.
