Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the vice presidential candidate of Ghana’s National Democratic Congress (NDC), celebrated her birthday on November 22 by making donations to the Nyohini Children’s Home in Tamale.

During her visit to the Nyohini Children’s Home, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang donated food items, toiletries, and a cash sum of GHC10,000 to support the orphanage. The food supplies included bags of rice, cooking oil, biscuits, and soft drinks.

Addressing the management of the orphanage, she praised their efforts in caring for the children and pledged her continued support. “The wellbeing of these children is a shared responsibility, and I will always do my part to assist,” she said.

The manager of the Nyohini Children’s Home expressed gratitude for the gesture, calling on others to emulate Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s example.

A similar donation was made on her behalf to the Ankaful Leprosarium, underscoring her commitment to supporting vulnerable groups across the country.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is currently on a campaign tour of Ghana’s Northern Region.
