Dr. Hassan Ayariga, presidential candidate for the All People’s Congress (APC), has pledged that no Ghanaian will experience poverty if he is elected president in the upcoming December 7 elections.

In an exclusive interview with TheDotNews, Ayariga stressed that Ghana’s vast natural resources, if properly managed, could ensure the well-being of all citizens. He argued that prioritising these resources would provide for the basic needs of the population and enable everyone to live comfortably.

Dr. Ayariga highlighted what he sees as the main issue facing the country: poor leadership and mismanagement. He believes that if the right leadership is put in place, Ghana’s wealth could be more equitably distributed.

“The problem in this country is about leadership and management. If we, as leaders, know what to do, there is no reason for anyone to suffer. Ghana has abundant resources that can be used to improve the lives of its citizens,” he said.

Dr. Ayariga outlined his plan for resource allocation, suggesting that Ghana’s natural wealth should be distributed among the population in a way that benefits all citizens. He proposed a model where resources like oil, cocoa, and bauxite are used to support specific segments of the population. For example, he suggested that oil revenue could be allocated to some two million Ghanaians, while cocoa and other resources are apportioned same.

“If we manage our resources in this way, I don’t see how anyone in this country should be poor,” he added.

He urged Ghanaians to vote for him in the upcoming election, promising to make the country a better place for all citizens.
