The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended six constituency executives from the Pusiga Constituency for alleged misconduct.

The suspensions were confirmed in a letter dated February 20, 2025, signed by Upper East Regional NPP Chairman Anthony Namoo. The executives have been directed to step aside and face a regional disciplinary committee over accusations of anti-party behavior.

The suspended individuals include Awinimi Emmanuel, the Constituency Communication Officer; Belingumse Sawuda, the 2nd Vice Chairman; Haruna Salam, the Assistant Secretary; Kazussah Jacob, the Treasurer; Salifu Ibn Adam, the Elections and Research Officer; and Iddrisu Kadiri, the Deputy Nasara Coordinator.

Awinimi Emmanuel, the suspended Communication Officer, confirmed the development to  Citi News but expressed confusion over the reasons for his suspension. “When I opened the letter, they said I had been suspended and that the Regional Disciplinary Committee would invite me,” Emmanuel said. “I have not been informed of any specific offenses committed.”

The NPP has not provided further details on the nature of the allegations against the suspended executives.
