Bice Osei Kuffour, widely recognized as Obour, has stepped down from his role as Managing Director of Ghana Post, marking the end of a transformative two-year tenure. Appointed to the position on January 4, 2022, Obour reflected on his leadership as a privilege, emphasizing the significant strides made in modernizing the state-owned postal service.

Under his stewardship, Ghana Post achieved notable advancements in digitalization, operational efficiency, and brand visibility, positioning the company as a modern, customer-centric logistics provider. These achievements were also underscored by a focus on improving the company’s financial sustainability.

In his resignation statement, Obour expressed gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the opportunity to serve the nation and to Minister of Communications and Digitalisation Ursula Owusu-Ekuful for her support throughout his tenure. He also extended his thanks to the Board of Directors, management, and staff for their dedication.

“As I transition from this role to pursue other ventures, I want to convey my sincere appreciation to Hon. Ursula Owusu, the Board of Directors, and the hardworking management and staff of Ghana Post, whose commitment was integral to our progress,” Obour said in his statement.

He expressed confidence that the strong foundation laid during his time at the helm would serve as a catalyst for Ghana Post’s continued growth and success in the years to come.

Obour concluded his remarks by wishing former President John Dramani Mahama and the incoming administration all the best in their future endeavors.
