The Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has revealed that the committee will soon submit its findings to President John Dramani Mahama.

Ablakwa confirmed that the committee has so far received over 700 petitions from the public, which are currently under review. Speaking to Citi News, the North Tongu MP emphasized that the committee’s primary goal is to ensure accountability and hold government officials to account.

“We are still compiling the cases and will present our report to the president shortly,” Ablakwa said. “While I cannot go into specifics, I can confirm that we’ve received over 700 petitions. It has been a challenging task, but there is a strong political will to see this through.”

He added that the committee’s efforts reflect a commitment to transparency, stating, “What I appreciate about this process is that we are bringing the same passion to our work in government that we once had in opposition.”

The committee is set to begin the next phase of its work – the validation of the information gathered. Ablakwa noted that while most of the field validation has been completed in the capital, additional sessions will soon take place in other regions where reports have been received.

“We are hopeful that in the coming weeks, we will conclude our work,” he added. “We are finalizing the field validation in the capital and will soon visit other regions to ensure thoroughness in the process.”
