Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has issued a stern warning to former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, demanding that he appear in person at its headquarters by Monday, 2 June 2025.

In a statement released on Sunday, the OSP said failure to comply would lead to his designation as a fugitive from justice. Authorities added that they would take steps to issue an INTERPOL Red Notice, which could trigger his arrest and extradition from any member state.

Mr Ofori-Atta is under investigation for alleged corruption and abuse of office during his time in government. He had previously been removed from the OSP’s wanted list after what the office described as “significant cooperation.” That status is now in jeopardy.

The former minister has not yet responded publicly to the latest directive. The OSP insists that his presence is crucial to the continuation of its probe.
