Raymond Archer has been appointed as the Acting Executive Director of Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
His appointment comes following the reassignment of Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah, the former Acting Executive Director, who has been moved to the National Security Secretariat to serve as a Technical Advisor. The government has not yet provided an official explanation for the leadership change.
Mr Archer assumes the role at a critical time, as EOCO continues to play a central role in the fight against economic and organised crime in the country.
Widely respected for his background in investigative journalism and expertise in financial crimes, Mr Archer is expected to bring renewed focus and direction to the agency.
His appointment also comes amid broader national discussions about leadership reshuffles across key security institutions. The government is yet to issue a formal statement regarding the latest changes.
