The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has claimed victory in Ghana’s 2024 general election, with the party’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, calling the result a “resounding triumph.”
At a press conference on Sunday, 8 December, Gyamfi thanked Ghanaians for their strong support and said the NDC’s victory was based on evidence collected from polling stations across the country. He confirmed that the party had obtained pink sheet copies from its agents at all stations, which he said verified the NDC’s win in both the presidential and parliamentary races.
“We are pleased to inform the people of Ghana that our internal results clearly show that the electorate has rejected eight years of corruption, incompetence, state capture, nepotism, cronyism, waste, and arrogance, and instead have given the NDC a decisive victory,” Gyamfi stated.
He urged Ghanaians to stay calm as they await the official results from the Electoral Commission, expressing confidence that the Commission would accurately reflect the will of the people.
