Sampson Ahi, Deputy Minister-designate for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, has refuted claims made by Okaikwei Central MP, Patrick Boamah, that the Akufo-Addo administration developed roads in the Bodi District during its eight years in power.

Mr. Ahi dismissed the assertions as “a big false,” asserting that the government had not constructed a single inch of tarred road in the district over the period.

Speaking before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Monday, February 24,Mr. Ahi challenged Mr. Boamah and others to provide evidence to support their claims. He further stated that he would be willing to retract his statement if proven incorrect.

“If the Hon. Member [Patrick Boamah] can show me where they tarred the road, I will be happy to retract my statement,” Ahi added.
