A scuffle broke out during the recollation of parliamentary results for Ablekuma North on Wednesday, as tensions flared over the inclusion of a disputed pink sheet, further delaying the process.

The dispute began when Nathaniel Klimsman Avumeh, the Presiding Officer for one of the polling stations in the constituency, refused to authenticate the figures from his station ahead of the collation. The situation escalated when a party official slammed the table of Electoral Commission (EC) officials, prompting chaotic scenes and a brief physical altercation between opposing party members.

Police officers quickly intervened to restore order and prevent further disruptions.

As of 5:30 PM, five of the seven outstanding pink sheets had been addressed, with the EC and party representatives holding discussions over the remaining two.

Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Akua Afriyie, who had been absent during the earlier stages of the collation, was escorted into the venue by Evans Nimako.

The High Court had previously ordered the EC to complete the collation process for Ablekuma North, along with three other constituencies. While results for the other three constituencies were finalised and declared in favour of the NPP, the Ablekuma North collation remains unresolved.
