Daniel Domelevo, the former Auditor-General and member of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee, has strongly rejected accusations of witch-hunting against the committee. In a recent appearance on the Citi Breakfast Show, Domelevo stated that if the committee’s actions were truly witch-hunting, they would not stand up in court.
“When it comes to the issues raised in the ORAL report, they may not be conclusive, but anyone who believes they have been wronged or defamed can seek legal recourse,” Domelevo said. “If you feel we’ve damaged your reputation, go to court.”
His comments come amid growing controversy over the ORAL report, which some have criticized for targeting individuals unfairly. Meanwhile, former Berekum MP and private legal practitioner, Captain (Rtd.) Nkrabea Effah Dartey, has questioned the legal validity of the ORAL report itself.
