Former Finance Minister Seth Terkper has expressed pride in the performances of Finance Minister-designate Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson and Energy Minister-designate John Abdulai Jinapor, following their vetting by Parliament’s Appointments Committee on January 13, 2025.

In a televised interview on Channel One TV, Terkper commended both nominees for their dedication and expertise, acknowledging their growth and contributions to the country.

“I was proud of the two gentlemen,” Terkper said. “Honourable Jinapor mentioned that at one point, when I was supervising minister for power, he was my deputy. So, this is a moment when one couldn’t be less gratified with what was happening.”

Terkper highlighted the importance of their work in Parliament, noting Forson’s extensive tenure as ranking member and leader, and Jinapor’s significant achievements in the power sector.

While acknowledging the compliments from Forson during the vetting, Terkper emphasized that their success was due to their own hard work and commitment in Parliament.

“These are subordinates who have risen through their dedication to the work in Parliament, and they deserve the credit for what happened today,” he added.
