Sixth Suspect Arrested in Connection with Nsoatreman vs Kotoko Match Violence

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Elizabeth Akosua Ntiriwaa, also known as Akosua Black Chinese, in relation to the violent disturbances that erupted during the February 2, 2025, football match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC.

Ntiriwaa is the sixth individual to be apprehended in connection with the incident, which led to one fatality. She is currently in police custody and is assisting authorities with their ongoing investigation.

The police continue to conduct intelligence-driven operations in an effort to identify and apprehend all individuals involved. The investigation remains active, with additional developments anticipated.

The violence prompted the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to suspend all Premier League matches while the inquiry is underway. Authorities have pledged to ensure justice is served and are urging the public to provide any relevant information that could aid the investigation.
