Following his official assumption of office, Speaker Alban Bagbin has administered the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of a Member of Parliament to the MPs-elect present in the chamber.

The swearing-in ceremony is a key constitutional requirement, formally inducting the MPs-elect into their roles and granting them the authority to participate in the legislative process.

Bagbin’s administration of the oaths marks the official start of the legislative term for Ghana’s 9th Parliament.
