Confusion broke out at Akyem Akroso in the Eastern Region during the special voting exercise after Eric Ahinakwa, the NDC parliamentary candidate, accused NPP chairman Sampson Effah of allegedly handing out cash to voters just steps away from the polling station.

Ahinakwa claims that Effah was openly distributing money to voters just a few meters away from the polling station, in what he described as an attempt to sway the outcome of the election.

The allegations sparked heated exchanges between party agents and voters, disrupting the otherwise calm voting process.
