SWAG Congratulates President-Elect Mahama

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has congratulated John Dramani Mahama on his victory in the 2024 elections, hailing it as a new chapter for leadership in the country.

In a statement signed by President Kwabena Yeboah, SWAG expressed its enthusiasm for collaborating with Mahama’s administration to further the development of sports in Ghana. The association highlighted Mahama’s prior engagement with key sports stakeholders, including SWAG, during his campaign, as evidence of his commitment to advancing the sector.

SWAG also praised the peaceful conduct of the elections, commending Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia for his dignified concession.

In its message, the association extended its best wishes to Mahama as he prepares to take office, expressing confidence that his leadership will usher in stability, growth, and prosperity for the nation.
