Swedru SHS Student Who Returned Missing Purse Secures Internship Opportunity

Jeffery Ebo Arhin, a student at Swedru Senior High School (SHS), has earned an internship with a reputable credit union after gaining national attention for returning a missing purse he found.

In addition to the internship, Jeffery has received a GH¢1,000 cash gift in recognition of his honesty and integrity. The headmistress of Swedru SHS, Golda Esi Andam, shared the news in an interview on Prime Morning on Joy Prime.

Madam Andam expressed her delight, revealing that since Jeffery’s story went viral, numerous opportunities have been offered to him. She also mentioned that donations would be presented to Jeffery during the school’s assembly to inspire his fellow students.

Jeffery found the purse, which contained GH¢200 and some coins, and returned it to its owner. Initially, he was rewarded with GH¢30 by the school, which sparked mixed reactions on social media. Jeffery also shared that some of his friends had mocked him for returning the purse.
