Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that cheating has never been a deal breaker in her relationships.

Speaking on The Receipts podcast, the 44-year-old Afrobeat artist shared that while infidelity is not something she condones, she has never ended a relationship solely because of it. Instead, she pointed to issues such as drug abuse, emotional abuse, and being ghosted as reasons that have led her to leave a partner.

“I have never left a man because he cheated on me. I’ve left due to reasons like drug abuse, emotional abuse, and being ghosted,” she explained.

Savage also opened up about her experiences with infidelity, saying she has been cheated on several times in previous relationships but chose to forgive each time. “I’ve been cheated on before. I found out and forgave every time. Every man I’ve ever been with has cheated, and I’ve never left them because of it. Cheating is not my hill,” she added.

The singer further reflected on how infidelity has been a part of societal dynamics for a long time, stating, “I know you say it’s bad that we’ve gotten to a point where cheating isn’t a deal-breaker. But I feel like we’ve always been here—even back in the day, even going back to the Bible and history.”
