In a major move to strengthen their defensive line, Manchester City have reached an agreement with RC Lens to sign 20-year-old Uzbekistan centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov for a reported fee of €40 million plus bonuses. The rising star is set to join the Premier League champions on a 4.5-year contract, with an option to extend for another year.

Khusanov, known for his composure and tactical awareness, has been on the radar of several top European clubs, but City’s swift action secured the young talent’s signature. The deal, expected to be finalized in the coming days, marks a significant investment in City’s future defensive stability.

Meanwhile, the club’s pursuit of additional firepower continues, as ongoing talks with Eintracht Frankfurt for striker Omar Marmoush have yet to yield a definitive agreement. City are keen to add the Egyptian forward to their ranks, but negotiations are still underway.
