The Appointment Committee of Parliament has scheduled the vetting of the second group of ministerial nominees from Thursday, January 23 through Monday, January 27, 2025.

The second list of nominees, announced by President John Mahama on January 17, includes five men and four women. The vetting sessions will begin at 8:30 AM daily and will be held in Committee Rooms 1, 2, and 3 at Parliament’s New Administration Block.

The committee will review the nominees selected by President Mahama for various regional ministerial positions. The process is expected to be open to media coverage, with the Parliamentary Press Corps invited to attend and report on the proceedings.

This follows the initial vetting of President Mahama’s first batch of nominees, including Cassiel Ato Forson for Finance, John Jinapor for Energy, and Dominic Ayine for Attorney General and Justice, all of whom are awaiting final approval.
