VFS Global, a leading outsourcing and technology services provider for governments and diplomatic missions, has achieved a major milestone by processing its 300 millionth application. Remarkably, the company managed to process its most recent 100 million applications within the past five years, despite the significant travel disruptions caused by the pandemic between 2020 and 2022.

In 2023 alone, VFS Global processed 24.1 million applications worldwide, a 35% increase compared to 2022. From January to May 2024, it processed an impressive 100,000 applications daily.

Zubin Karkaria, the Founder and CEO of VFS Global, expressed his pride in this achievement, attributing it to the trust placed in the company by 70 governments and the quality of their secure and innovative services delivered across 152 countries. He also extended his gratitude to visa applicants who rely on their services.

Karkaria highlighted the company’s successful contracts over the past year, including exclusive agreements for UK Visas and DHA Australia, along with renewals of contracts with Germany, Finland, Portugal, and Japan. These accomplishments underline VFS Global’s commitment to investing in technology and workforce development to consistently enhance its services.

Since 2019, VFS Global has expanded its partnerships from 60 client governments to 70, maintaining long-term relationships with 25 governments for over 15 years. In 2022 alone, the company secured a record seven global visa outsourcing contracts, including those for the UK, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Iceland, and Austria. This reflects the trust governments place in VFS Global’s secure, efficient, and innovative solutions.

Innovation remains at the heart of VFS Global’s operations. Since its establishment in 2001, the company has pioneered outsourced visa services and developed 16 unique digital solutions. It has also created comprehensive eVisa platforms for 12 governments. A notable achievement is the introduction of biometric capabilities, with over 140 million biometric enrollments processed since 2007. To meet growing demand, VFS Global has further enhanced its biometric services with advanced Multi-Mission Model (MMM) kits.

Currently, the organization is leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) to streamline customer experiences. To ensure the ethical use of AI, it has partnered with the Responsible AI Institute and established AI hubs in Mumbai and Dubai, with plans for another in Berlin.

As a global leader in outsourcing and technology services, VFS Global continues to innovate, helping governments manage non-judgmental tasks such as visa, passport, and consular application processing. This enables client governments to focus on critical decision-making while benefiting from enhanced productivity and cutting-edge technology solutions.
