The Volta Regional Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has strongly condemned an attack on the party’s Ho Central Constituency office, which took place Tuesday evening. The perpetrators are believed to be disgruntled NDC members frustrated with the ongoing government appointment process under President John Dramani Mahama, particularly the lack of appointments from the constituency.

The attackers reportedly set fire to office materials in protest, highlighting tensions within the party over the distribution of positions. In response, the Volta NDC Youth Wing has called for calm, urging supporters to let the appointment process unfold without further disruption.

Comrade Mathias Alagbo Kabila, the Regional Youth Organizer, reassured the public that appointments are a continuous process and expressed confidence that President Mahama understands the crucial role of the Volta Region in the NDC’s success.

Kabila also issued a firm warning to those responsible for the attack, urging them to stop such actions. He stressed that the NDC’s values of peace and unity must guide party members, with violence and intimidation having no place in the party’s approach to resolving differences.

The Volta NDC Youth Wing’s statement serves as a reminder of the party’s commitment to maintaining stability and peace within its ranks.
