The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has pledged its full support to President-elect John Dramani Mahama ahead of his upcoming term in office.

During a visit to Mahama, GPCC President Apostle Eric Nyamekye expressed confidence in the president-elect’s leadership and experience. He urged Mahama to serve with integrity and make decisions that benefit the nation as a whole.

“We are here to assure you that the GPCC will continue to pray for you and support your presidency. Ultimately, we want Ghana to succeed, and we believe that God will use you mightily for this purpose,” Nyamekye said. He also pledged the GPCC’s commitment to engaging with the president-elect and contributing to discussions on national development.

In response, Mahama thanked the GPCC for their support and emphasized that while some decisions during his tenure may be difficult, they would be made with the nation’s best interests at heart.

“Even with a strong mandate, we must build consensus in our approach,” Mahama said. “Some decisions may be tough, but they are necessary for the urgent reforms the country needs. Sometimes, the nation must take bitter medicine to recover.”
