The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of engaging in vote-buying during the ongoing elections in the constituency.

Dr. Apaak alleges that the NPP is offering financial incentives to voters in an attempt to influence their choices. He has called for an immediate investigation by the Electoral Commission (EC) and other relevant authorities, describing the alleged actions as a serious threat to the integrity of the election process.

“We have received reports suggesting that the NPP is using money to sway voters. Individuals are reportedly stationed at households, attempting to bribe voters in secret. If these claims are substantiated, they must be condemned,” Dr. Apaak told Citi News.

The MP expressed his commitment to ensuring that the elections in Builsa South remain free, fair, and transparent. He called for increased vigilance and strict enforcement of electoral laws to protect the democratic process.

The NPP has yet to respond to the allegations.
