Parliament has approved the ministerial nominees put forward by President John Mahama, following their vetting earlier this week. The Appointments Committee submitted a report to the House, recommending the approval of the nominees.

Among those approved was Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, the Asawase legislator, who was vetted for the role of Interior Minister just hours before the parliamentary deliberations.

In addition to Muntaka’s approval, the nominees for ministerial positions in the Northern, Oti, Volta, and Eastern regions were also given the green light. Ali Adolf John, John Kwadwo Gyapong, James Gunu, and Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey were confirmed as the substantive Ministers for their respective regions.
