Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, General Overseer of Action Chapel International, has lauded President Mahama for his “humble” nature and non-vindictive approach to leadership.

Speaking at the President’s Fellowship with the Clergy on Friday, February 28, 2025, the respected religious leader shared personal experiences of Mahama’s ability to forgive and move past offences.

“Mr. President, you are a prime example of humility,” Duncan-Williams said during his sermon. “I’ve seen people hurt, betray, and offend you over the years, but you have never been vindictive. You maintain your touch with people, whether in opposition or government.”

The Archbishop recalled a surprising moment when Mahama, while in opposition, warmly embraced a person who had previously wronged him. “I asked him, ‘What kind of a man is this?’ And he replied, ‘It’s the power of humility.’”

Duncan-Williams urged the President’s Ministers to emulate his example, warning against using their power for personal vendettas. “Don’t be vindictive, don’t settle scores,” he cautioned. “When you misuse the authority entrusted to you for personal gain, there are serious consequences.”
