The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the provisional results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, Second Series.

A total of 38,316 candidates – 17,596 males and 21,131 females – participated in the exam, with 1,354 candidates absent.

However, WAEC revealed in a statement on February 28, 2025, that the results of 303 candidates in specific subjects, as well as the full results of 108 candidates, have been withheld due to suspected malpractice. Investigations into these cases are currently ongoing.

The breakdown of performance for the four core subjects will be released shortly.
