Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has urged all Ghanaians to come together and work towards reviving the country’s struggling economy.

Speaking at the opening of the 2025 National Economic Dialogue in Accra on March 3, Dr. Forson stressed the importance of collaboration between the government, business leaders, economic experts, civil society groups, and development partners to tackle Ghana’s economic challenges.

The two-day event, which is being held at the Accra International Conference Centre, is a significant gathering aimed at shaping the nation’s economic future. The discussions will directly influence the National Budget that Dr. Forson will present on March 11, 2025.

Describing the dialogue as a historic opportunity, Dr. Forson highlighted its potential to impact the country’s economic reset and drive long-term, sustainable growth. “We need to build the economy we want together,” he said, underscoring the need for shared responsibility.

With the theme “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together,” the forum will address vital issues such as debt sustainability, job creation, industrialization, and ensuring macroeconomic stability. It aims to lay the groundwork for a new direction that will strengthen Ghana’s economic resilience and secure a brighter future.
