Mahama lauds Dampare: Your impact on Ghana’s security will be remembered

President John Dramani Mahama has formally recognized the significant contributions of Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, Ghana’s outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP), to the nation’s law enforcement and security infrastructure.

At a ceremony marking the appointment of his successor, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, Mahama expressed deep gratitude for Dampare’s leadership. “Let me take this opportunity to extend my deepest appreciation to the outgoing IGP. His service to the nation has been marked by dedication and commitment, and his contributions to national security will not be forgotten,” Mahama remarked.

The President emphasized Dr. Dampare’s steadfast role in safeguarding the well-being of Ghanaian citizens, acknowledging his lasting impact on the police force. Mr.Mahama also extended his best wishes for the former IGP’s future endeavors, noting the significant legacy he leaves behind.

“We thank him for his exceptional service and wish him all the best in his future pursuits,” Mahama concluded.
