Nsoatreman Football Club has announced its withdrawal from the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League, citing growing concerns over the safety of its players.

In a letter addressed to the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in March 2025, the club expressed regret over the decision but stressed that recent violent incidents during matches had left them with no alternative. Specifically, Nsoatreman referred to encounters with Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Samatex FC, which the club had already reported to the GFA.

The club’s management and board of directors stated that they could no longer ensure the safety of their players, emphasising that protecting player welfare had to take precedence.

“We are unable to guarantee the safety of our players, and therefore, we have no choice but to withdraw from the competition,” the club’s statement read.

Nsoatreman FC apologised for any disruption caused by their decision and thanked the GFA for its understanding and cooperation.
