President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Anatu Anne Seidu Bogobiri, a seasoned legal professional with more than 26 years of experience, as the new Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

A distinguished lawyer, Bogobiri began her career with the Value Added Tax (VAT) Service and later moved through the ranks at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), where she served in its Legal Department. Her extensive legal background is complemented by significant involvement in electoral and organizational leadership.

Notably, Madam Bogobiri has held the position of Executive Director of the African Electoral Institute (AEI), gaining hands-on experience in electoral processes. Her leadership credentials also extend to labour advocacy, where she served as the Divisional Union Vice Chairperson of the Public Services Workers Union (PSWU).

A dedicated advocate for legal rights and democratic governance, she is actively engaged in the Law Society of Ghana (LSG), where she serves as the Women’s Commissioner, and plays a vital role in Lawyers in Search of Democracy (LINSOD) as Treasurer and Media Liaison.

With this appointment, Madam Bogobiri is expected to bring a wealth of experience to the NHIA, strengthening the authority’s ongoing efforts to advance Ghana’s national health insurance program.
