Ghana’s Black Stars delivered a powerful statement in their quest for World Cup qualification, securing a dominant 3-0 victory over Madagascar in a FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier.

The match, which took place at the Mimoun Al Arsi Stadium in Morocco, saw the Black Stars asserting their dominance and strengthening their grip at the top of Group I.

Arsenal’s Thomas Partey was the standout player of the night, netting two crucial goals. Partey opened the scoring early in the 11th minute, heading home a pinpoint free kick from Jordan Ayew. The pair were in sync again in the 54th minute, with Partey doubling Ghana’s lead by converting another Ayew delivery.

Mohammed Kudus put the finishing touches on an outstanding team performance in the 58th minute, scoring the third goal following a third assist from Ayew. Kudus’ goal was particularly special as it marked his return to the scoresheet for the national team after a 431-day drought.

With the win, Ghana now sits firmly at the top of Group I with 15 points, ahead of Madagascar, Mali, and Comoros. The Black Stars’ impressive display has significantly boosted their chances of securing a spot in the 2026 World Cup, further solidifying their reputation as one of Africa’s top footballing nations.
