Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, will travel abroad for further medical treatment following a sudden illness that prompted emergency care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

A statement issued by the President’s office revealed that Opoku-Agyemang fell ill after work on Friday, March 28, and sought medical attention the following day at UGMC. Medical professionals at the facility have recommended additional specialized care abroad to ensure her complete recovery.
