The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally called former Dome Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP), Sarah Adwoa Safo, to appear before its Disciplinary Committee following her recent public comments on the party’s prospects in the 2024 elections.
In a notice dated March 24, 2025, the party’s Disciplinary Committee Secretary, Patrick Boamah, and Director of Finance and Administration, William Yamoah, outlined the terms of the inquiry. Safo has been summoned to attend a hearing scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The session will be held at the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra.
The party has requested that Safo bring any relevant documents or witnesses that could support her case, and she has been informed that legal representation will be permitted during the proceedings. A referral letter from the party’s General Secretary, along with the official notice, has been provided to her.

The NPP emphasized its commitment to maintaining transparency, fairness, and due process throughout the disciplinary process. The leadership has urged Safo’s cooperation and confirmed that the hearing’s outcome will address the issues raised by her public statements.
Key party officials, including the National Chairman, General Secretary, and Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, have been copied on the notice. The party’s leadership has reaffirmed its dedication to upholding its core values and ensuring accountability within its ranks.
