A Nigerian businessman, Ben Peters, has been arrested near the Jubilee House in Accra after allegedly blocking the entrance to an apartment complex with armed men.

Peters, along with several unidentified individuals, reportedly stationed vehicles at the entrance of the Aurora Apartments in Kanda, preventing residents from entering or exiting the building.

National Security operatives, in a joint operation with the police and military, apprehended Peters, who is now in custody. Authorities have also seized his vehicles.

Mustapha Gbande, Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, condemned the act, emphasizing that such behavior is both unlawful and unacceptable in Ghana. He stated: “Nobody can come into our country and take our people hostage. This cannot be tolerated in this country.”

The operation highlights ongoing efforts by security forces to maintain order and ensure the safety of citizens.
