The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) is waiting for approval from Parliament Speaker Alban Bagbin to question Assin South MP Reverend John Ntim Fordjour regarding allegations of drug trafficking and money laundering.

Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, revealed that Fordjour has not yet responded to requests from security agencies following his claims that two aircraft recently landed in Ghana carrying drugs and cash.

In an appearance on Face to Face on Channel One TV, Kwakye Ofosu highlighted the importance of transparency and suggested that the MP’s interrogation should be made public.

“The NIB has written to the Speaker to release Ntim Fordjour. As far as I am aware, the Speaker has not yet responded. Once the Speaker gives his approval, the MP will be available for questioning,” Kwakye Ofosu stated.
