Police Launch Probe into Alleged Kidnapping and Assault  in Viral Video

The Ghana Police has  launched an investigation into an alleged kidnapping and assault of a woman, following the emergence of a troubling video on social media.

The brief footage, which has rapidly gained traction online, shows a woman in apparent distress, sparking widespread concern and calls for swift justice.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, 29 April, the Ghana Police Service confirmed it had opened a case and was actively working to identify and apprehend those involved.

“The Ghana Police Service is investigating an alleged case of kidnapping and assault of a female adult captured in a viral video. We assure the public that we are working around the clock to get to the bottom of the matter and get those behind it arrested,” the statement said.

Although specific details remain unclear, police officials say they are reviewing the video and making efforts to track down the individuals featured in it.

The public has been urged to come forward with any credible information that could aid the ongoing investigation.
