President John Mahama has made “commendable progress” during his first 120 days in office, according to respected Ghanaian academic Prof. Stephen Adei, who cited tangible strides in governance ahead of a key national address.

In remarks made Wednesday on JoyNews’ Newsdesk, Prof. Adei praised Mr. Mahama for honoring his self-imposed social contract with the Ghanaian people, noting that even an “objective” assessment would find the president’s early performance strong.

“I congratulate John on his 120-day achievement,” said Prof. Adei. “Anyone objective would say he has done very well. The challenge now is sustaining that momentum, correcting any missteps, and delivering the Ghana we all envision.”

Mr. Mahama is expected to address the nation later Wednesday, outlining the accomplishments of his first four months in office and setting the tone for the months ahead. The address forms part of his broader effort to maintain transparency and public engagement in his administration.
