A fire has partially destroyed the popular Honeysuckle Pub and Restaurant in Labone, Accra.

The blaze broke out around 5 p.m. on Saturday, 26 October, with flames engulfing the kitchen area.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded swiftly, containing the fire before it could spread to other parts of the building. Officers arrived promptly and managed to bring the situation under control, preventing extensive damage to the establishment.

Officials from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) were also on the scene to disconnect power, ensuring the safety of responders and reducing the risk of reignition.

GNFS Assistant Division Officer Alex King Nartey provided an update on the incident via the Fire Service’s official Facebook page, commending the collaborative efforts of GNFS and ECG in securing the site.
