The Electoral Commission of Ghana is set to start transporting ballot papers for the upcoming December 7, 2024, elections to regional hubs beginning on November 14.

In a letter dated November 13, addressed to the General Secretaries of all political parties, Deputy Chairman for Operations Samuel Tettey confirmed the plans. “I bring you warm greetings from the Electoral Commission and trust that this letter finds you well. This is to inform you that the transportation of ballot papers to the various regions will start tomorrow, Thursday, 14 November 2024,” the letter read.

This step marks a significant milestone in the preparations for the December polls. The ballot papers, described as crucial election materials, will be kept under police protection and released to election officials on election day, with party agents monitoring the process to ensure transparency.
