Grammy-nominated Jamaican artist Grace Latoya Hamilton, known by her stage name Spice, has described her visit to Ghana as her most thrilling trip to date.

The celebrated dancehall star arrived in Accra on Friday, 15 November, to collaborate with Ghanaian reggae-dancehall icon Stonebwoy on the music video for their hit track Jiggy & Whine. The video is scheduled to be filmed on Sunday, 17 November.

Spice was warmly welcomed at Kotoka International Airport by Stonebwoy and later shared her excitement with the press. She revealed that despite her 25-year career, which has seen her travel extensively around the world, her first visit to Ghana stands out as particularly special.

“I have been in the music industry for 25 years, so if you do the math, you’ll know how many places I’ve travelled to, but this is my most exciting trip yet. Ghana, the queen is here,” she said.

The dancehall queen, known for her energetic performances and bold lyrics, likened Ghana to her homeland, Jamaica.

“Immediately after I landed, I made a video because the country looks like Jamaica. I haven’t seen much yet, but I’m excited. Let it be known that Stonebwoy brought me to Ghana for the first time,” she added.

Spice’s visit has generated significant buzz among fans, with anticipation building for her collaboration with Stonebwoy, a major name in Ghana’s music scene.
