Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed confidence that John Dramani Mahama is the leader who will use the country’s resources judiciously for the benefit of all Ghanaians.

Speaking on Joy News’ AM Show on Wednesday, 27 November, Gyamfi reiterated Mahama’s promise to “reset” the country if re-elected, claiming that the current administration, led by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pushed the nation into financial distress and captured the state for personal and partisan gain.

“The NPP has distorted every sector of the country and caused economic hardship. We believe that only John Mahama can revitalise the economy and improve the lives of Ghanaians,” Gyamfi said.

He emphasised that Mahama’s government would work to eradicate corruption, end state capture, and ensure that state resources are allocated for the welfare of all citizens, not just a select few. Gyamfi also highlighted that the former president is cautious in his promises, stressing that integrity is his top priority.

Addressing the current economic challenges, including the depreciation of the cedi, Gyamfi urged Ghanaians to vote for Mahama and the NDC in the upcoming December 7 election.

As the election approaches, both the NPP and NDC are intensifying their campaigns. While Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, representing the NPP, is seeking to continue the current administration’s policies, Mahama is campaigning on the promise of correcting what he describes as systemic failures and ensuring more equitable distribution of national resources.
