The campaign team of Nana Kwame Bediako, Founder and Leader of the New Force Movement, was reportedly attacked by angry youth in the Anyaa-Sowutuom constituency of Greater Accra on Tuesday, November 26. The incident left one person injured and two vehicles damaged.

According to reports, the attack occurred when members of Bediako’s media team and campaign convoy were confronted by residents, who blocked their procession with stones. The campaign was abruptly halted as the situation escalated, with reports suggesting that the local youth were upset about the team’s failure to pay a courtesy visit to the area’s chief before campaigning.

As tensions rose, the police were called in to restore order. Despite their presence, the situation remained volatile, with angry youths on motorbikes showing signs of aggression. The presidential candidate, Nana Kwame Bediako, was unharmed, but members of the media team were left shaken by the ordeal. A UTV journalist is said to have withdrawn from covering the event due to the trauma.

The cause of the attack remains unclear, but it highlights growing tensions surrounding campaign activities in the region.
