President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed strong confidence in Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s readiness to lead Ghana as the next president.

Speaking during a meeting with members of Organised Labour on December 3, 2024, Akufo-Addo highlighted Bawumia’s extensive experience, gained over seven years in government, which he believes has equipped him to effectively govern the country.

The president described Bawumia’s political journey, noting his background as a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana and his eight years of collaboration with him in both opposition and government. Akufo-Addo urged voters to support Bawumia in the upcoming election, framing the vote as a choice for continued progress and development.
