Philip Appiah Kubi, also known as Roman Fada, a disqualified presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has dismissed reports suggesting that the GFP has thrown its support behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

During a press briefing on Wednesday, December 4, an individual identifying as the GFP’s Deputy General Secretary, Jerry Addo, claimed that the party had resolved to back the NDC following discussions among its executives.

However, speaking to Citi News, Philip Appiah Kubi rejected these claims, emphasizing that no decision has been made regarding which party the GFP will support.

“We have not endorsed any political party. This is not due to any issues with either the NDC or NPP, but as the current leader of the Ghana Freedom Party, alongside my General Secretary, our four parliamentary candidates, and other executive members, we have not given our endorsement to any party,” he clarified.

He also labeled the endorsement claims as false, adding, “With just a few days to the election, we will announce our decision at the right time.”
