Collation of election results has been suspended in Ahafo Ano following an outbreak of violence at the collation centre in Tepa. Security personnel fired shots to disperse angry voters who had vandalised property in protest over the collation process.

Electoral Commission (EC) officials were relocated temporarily for their safety as tensions escalated. Gunfire was reportedly still heard as security forces remained in a standoff with the protesters.

Meanwhile, collation in Ahafo Ano South West has also been put on hold as agents from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) attempt to reach a resolution after the incident.
